What To Expect

Coming to therapy to talk about sex can feel exposing, especially if you've never spoken openly about what is happening before. You don't need to arrive knowing exactly what the problem is, and you won't be expected to discuss anything before you're ready.

How We'll Work Together.

Therapy is most effective when we work collaboratively.

  • Explore what has brought you to therapy and understand patterns you may not have noticed.

  • Develop a shared understanding of your difficulties and what maintains them.

  • Develop strategies tailored to your unique situation.

  • Adjust our approach based on what's working for you.

Our work together will be:

  • Collaborative – We make decisions together about your treatment.

  • Consensual – You're always in control of what we explore and at what pace.

  • Non-judgmental – A safe, affirming space (no shame & no shade)

  • Flexible – Responsive to your changing needs

You set the agenda. I bring the therapeutic expertise. Together, we find your path forward.

How I Work

Our relationship is key in therapy. You know your life best - your mind, your body, your story. My role is to help you understand your experiences and find a path that suits you.

I don't work from a single therapeutic model or apply the same formula to everyone. My core training is in psychosexual therapy and CBT, and I also draw on relational, compassion-focused, acceptance-based and body-informed approaches.

What we use depends on what's happening for you. Sometimes understanding why something is happening makes the biggest difference. Sometimes we need practical strategies. Sometimes the work is about relationships, shame, anxiety or trauma; at other times it's about reconnecting with your body, pleasure or desire.
