LGBTQIA+ Affirming Therapy

Everyone deserves a therapist who gets it.

Not someone who means well but stumbles over terminology. Not someone who treats your identity as the main point of the session, or who wants you to explain yourself before any real work can begin. Not someone who privately sees your relationship structure as a complication, or your sexuality as something to unpack and account for.

You deserve a therapist who already understands and who's genuinely here for all of you. As an LGBTQIA+ affirming therapist, I offer a space where your identity, relationships, and experiences aren't just tolerated, they're understood, respected, and welcomed. Whether you're gay, lesbian, bisexual, queer, pansexual, asexual, trans, non-binary, intersex, questioning, or don't fit any single label, you don't need a glossary or a justification. Just arrive.

People come to LGBTQIA+ affirming therapy for many reasons. Some navigate sexual difficulties or questions about intimacy. Some address relationship challenges, whether in monogamous partnerships, polyamorous structures, or otherwise. Others explore gender identity or sexuality, whether for the first time or returning to quiet questions. Some face the burden of discrimination, family rejection, internalised shame, or minority stress — the exhaustion of moving through a world that too regularly feels unwelcoming.

Some people come because life changes, a transition, a loss, a new relationship, a shifting sense of self, and want support from someone who won't make identity an obstacle.

Whatever brings you here, your experience will be met with curiosity, compassion, and respect. I'm not here to interpret your life through a heteronormative or cisnormative lens or to nudge you anywhere. I'm here to help you know yourself, navigate what's hard, and build a life that feels true — on your terms.

I work with individuals, couples, and people in diverse relationship structures. Sessions are confidential, relaxed, and judgment-free. You won't educate me or manage my reactions. You'll focus on the meaningful, sometimes hard, often liberating work of discovering what you need and how to get there.

LGBTQIA+ people have fought for genuinely safe spaces in healthcare, institutions, and daily life. Therapy hasn't always been one. I take that history seriously. This practice aims to be different.

You deserve support that starts from a position of understanding, not adjustment. A space where who you are is never the issue.

If you're ready to take the next step, contact me to schedule a session today. Your road toward authentic support and self-understanding can start here.
